PORT AU PRINCE – Haiti requested that foreign troops be sent to the country to protect critical infrastructure following the assassination of President Jovenel Moise.
The request was sent by the Haitian government to the United States and the United Nations, but the United States said it had no plans to offer military assistance “at this time”.
