Last night, Chile and Haiti settled for a World Cup place in one of a total of three playoff finals, and it ended in a historic advancement.

Haiti took the lead just before the break through Melchie Daëlle Dumornay and it looked to be the only goal of the match.

In the 98th minute, Melchie Daëlle Dumornay made it 2-0 and his second goal. Chile conceded a reduction goal, but the South American team did not get any closer than that.

The playoff final ended 2-1 and Haiti has made it to its first ever World Cup.

With the victory in playoff final B, Haiti will face Denmark, China and England in this summer’s championships, which will be played in New Zealand and Australia.
