New attack against Solino:

On Saturday, after a week of clashes with police in the Solino neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, members of the gang coalition, “Viv Ansanm“, attacked once again, burning down several houses. The police exchanged fire with the bandits, near the Solino police base. No assessment is available.

The ICRC alongside the Ministry of Health:

On Thursday October 24, 2024, Dr. Georges Fils Brignol, Minister of Public Health, Minister of Public Health welcomed a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The objective of this meeting was to present the actions of the Red Cross and to learn about the Ministry’s priorities in order to align their interventions. Reshuffle: Voltaire asks too much, the PM refuses

Friday October 25, 2024, Leslie Voltaire the President for the time of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) met Prime Minister Garry Conille, at the Welcome Villa. The issue of cabinet reshuffle was discussed during this meeting. Voltaire requested the reshuffle of 7 ministries: Foreign Affairs, Haitians living abroad, Justice, Planning, Defense, Public Health and Interior” which Garry Conille refused.

Football: October FIFA Ranking

In the monthly FIFA rankings published on October 24, 2024, Haiti maintains its position in 86th place in the world with 1,283.67 points (+5.11 points). The situation is similar at the regional level, where Haiti maintains its 9th place in the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean (CONCACAF) rankings.
