It’s in an episode of The Circuit, in front of journalist Emily Chang, that Hailey Bieber said what she thought of the situation of worrying proportions.
After discussing Hailey’s care company, rhodeEmily Chang bluntly addresses the squabble that raged in early spring 2023. “There is this drama between you and a celebrity and eyebrows, and you contacted her to mention that you were receiving death threats, and she asked her fans to stop.”
Hailey responds with, “I don’t believe it’s about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez. It’s not about these spikes thrown between two women, the division between two women. It’s about that disgusting, vile hatred that can arise from perpetual, completely twisted, made-up narrative that can be truly dangerous.”
The model adds: “It’s an opportunity to stand up and bring people together, to not be OK with the division it creates. I don’t agree with the division it caused. I don’t like the idea of ”team a person” and “team the other person”, it’s not about that. I want to be able to bring people together and I think that was a big moment to realize that it’s possible to bring people together, that it’s not doesn’t have to divide people.”
Hailey completes by indicating that she has hated the situation since the beginning and that she is tired of always having to tell her fans to stop hostilities, together with Selena who must do the same with the Selenators. “It’s disappointing to see people act like this about a man (Justin).”
