During the afternoon of January 14, a great storm with hail and gusts of wind affected several towns in the department of San Rafael, in the south of the province of Mendoza.
–
The storm left millions of dollars in production losses, due to very important damage to crops that reached 100% in some areas, and deterioration of anti-hail mesh structures. It also caused the fall of trees and cables that caused the power outage, which still lasts in some areas of the department.
The districts that suffered the most damage were Las Malvinas, Cañada Seca, Villa Atuel, Goudge, La Llave and finally Monte Coman.
