On social media, there was a video uproar showing a commotion when Haikal Hassan | at Pematangsiantar Grand Mosque. The commotion occurred because one of the administrators objected to Haikal giving a lecture at the mosque.
In the circulating video, a number of people were seen having a dialogue inside the mosque. The person in the video is one of Haikal Hassan who was sitting among the people.
The dialogue became more heated after a person referred to as the manager of the Mosque Consecration Body (BKM) left the dialogue location. The BKM manager still refused to let Haikal speak at the mosque.
“What is clear is that I have never received a permit. I don’t want to argue, this is my house,” said the BKM administrator.
A number of people with Haikal looked angry. They do not accept if Haikal Hassan is not allowed to speak.
“This is God’s house,” said someone who was with Haikal.
Haikal Hassan is seen leaving the mosque. He asked the person with him to go.
The narration of the video is ‘Haikal Hassan was refused to give a talk in Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra’. The committee and MUI Pematangsiantar also explained the incident.
