The Chinese manufacturer of household appliances Haier intends to liquidate the Candy household appliances plant in Kirov. This decision was made due to the fact that production volumes were reduced by more than half.
“The parent structure of the Haier Group decided to liquidate Kandy S.N.G. LLC due to “low profitability.” The production of Candy household appliances in Kirov has been suspended,” reports a source close to the Russian representative office of Candy, “Kommersant” Before the start of the special operation, the plant produced about one million units of household appliances per year. Now production is limited to 400 thousand.
Initially, the plant was supposed to produce household appliances for Europe. But after the restrictions were introduced, production volumes were reduced. It is clarified that during the liquidation, some employees will be dismissed, while another part of the workers will move to Haier.
