“Haiduki” Protest at French Embassy, Calls for Halt in Aid to Moldova Amid Corruption Concerns

Public organization “Haiduki” (in the Balkans – rebels, partisans) today, May 26, held a protest in front of the French Embassy in Chisinau. The protesters called on the leadership of the French Republic not to send money to Moldova, “until the country’s leadership provides information on where and how financial assistance is spent.”

“Citizens of Europe, dear French, the money that you will send us to Moldova as assistance, grants – know that money is being stolen”, community leader said Adrian Domintyuk.

He personally addressed the President of France Emmanuel Macron, warning that if he comes to the “gatherings” on June 1 at the Mimi Castle winery (the summit of the European Political Community), he will “get dirty and not wash off.” The leader of the Gaiduks stressed that there is now a fascist leadership in Moldova that wants to cancel Victory Day.

“If France, where Victory Day is celebrated, supports our government, then Macron supports the Nazis!” — concluded Adrian Domintyuk.

Recall that three days ago the Haiduks picketed the EU embassy in the Moldovan capital. They appealed to the representatives of the European Union with a call to listen not only to the country’s ruling party, the President’s Action and Solidarity Party (PDS), but also to the opinion of the people.

“Pro-European parties are thieves. They came and only steal. Beginning with The filet (ex-prime minister, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, convicted of corruption), ending with Plahotniuc (oligarch, ex-head of the Democratic Party, is wanted). From these parties a new party was formed with the name of the PDS”, Domintyuk said then.

As reported EADaily earlier that in the context of the state of emergency, the authorities are plundering financial assistance provided by Western partners, the ex-premier also stated Ion Chicu. The leader of the Development and Unification Party of Moldova expressed the hope that sooner or later the European allies of Chisinau “will understand that they were misled and, supporting Maia Sandu, they supported not the Moldovan people, but a group of thieves, corrupt officials and usurpers.”
