If the Kranicher Teich in the Kurpark is sufficiently frozen, it invites you to play ice hockey, curling and ice skating from 9:00 to 16:00. Equipment for curling and ice hockey can be rented at the Tourist Information Office. From Saturday to Monday, the après-ski party at the “Marnies” on Rathausstraße from 18:00 ensures a relaxed atmosphere.
Saturday 28 January, from 15:30 to 16:30, the band “Deep Passion light” will offer musical entertainment in the pedestrian area. At 4.30pm, the Hahnenklee Foundation is hosting a winter festival concert with the Clausthal University Choir in Hahnenklee Stave Church. All hiking enthusiasts are offered an atmospheric torchlight procession with a break for mulled wine at 17:00. The meeting point for this is Paul-Lincke-Platz on Rathausstraße. Participation in the excursion is free for guests with a guest card, otherwise it costs two euros per person.
Winter fun awaits young and old Sunday 29 January: from 10:00 to 24:00 the forestry educators will accompany you on the exciting excursion “Animals in the winter forest”. The meeting point for the hike is the Kurhaus at Kurhausweg 7. We ask you to register at the tourist information office by 28 January. Adults and guests without a guest card pay four euros, with a guest card or children aged 5 to 15 three euros. At 6.45 pm, a spectacular fire show will delight spectators on Rathausstrasse. The local history museum of the local Harz Club invites you to a musical winter journey from 7.30 pm. Kay Balla of Sax’n Tours presents world famous songs on her saxophone. On Saturday and Sunday, shooting on Rathausstraße or, depending on the weather, on the Kranicher Teich from 11:00 to 16:00 promises fun for the whole family.
Two exciting excursions with forest educators are scheduled for Monday 30 January. From 10:00 to 12:00, explorers big and small can embark on an exciting winter hike. The “Nights in the Winter Forest” excursion from 18:00 to 20:00 promises unforgettable experiences in a mystical environment.
