Rubeus Hagrid remains one of the most beloved characters in the Harry Potter universe. The bearded good man was played by British actor Robbie Coltrane, who died last October. For many, he is associated only with this legendary image from a fairy tale, but there were other roles in his repertoire.
In 1990, the British comedy Nuns on the Run starring Robbie Coltrane was released. The plot of the film tells about two criminals who stole suitcases with money from their “colleagues”. To sit out, the crooks decided to hide in the monastery. For conspiracy, they had to pretend to be women and put on cassocks. Coltrane played one of those nuns. Many noted that the actor in this image looks like an obese woman of retirement age. However, this even benefited the film – Robbie looked very organic in this role, which enhanced the comical effect.
At one time, the picture was enthusiastically accepted by Russian viewers, who were not spoiled by such a movie. But in the West, “Nuns on the Run” was heavily criticized for its stupid plot.
