Hades II has received its biggest update to date since its “early access” launch earlier this year. It’s called the Olympic Update, and it draws a lot of news for the action game.

Among other things, the developer Supergiant has introduced a new area to the game, with more challenges for Melinoë to deal with. The Olympic update also expands the armor with a new item called Xinth, the Black Coat.

New story lines have been added, as well as more characters to get to know along the way. There are also two new pets in place, which can be recruited if you find them.

In addition, the update boasts several balance changes, performance improvements, visual tweaks, and more voice acting. If you like the commentary of the game, you can also listen full list of changes read out in the 26-minute video below.

We let ourselves get excited of the “early access” start for Hades II in May. Those below really appreciated the combat system, the story and the optional character gallery.

– Hades II has more Hades, which is exactly what I wanted. Those who enjoyed the previous action adventure from Supergiant Games will no doubt fall head over heels for the studio’s first sequel game.

The final launch is expected to take place next year. Hades II is most likely coming to consoles, but Supergiant has yet to reveal which ones.
