Candidate Fernando Haddad’s (PT) campaign for the Sao Paulo State Government hired a security company that belongs to a nutritionist and is not listed in the federal police to take action in the business. According to the responsibility of the PT handed over to the Electoral Court, the company will receive R $ 328,000.
BMP Serviços Administrativos Ltda. Was hired in the Haddad Campaign Security Service on 10 August. However, in addition to not having the authorization of the Federal Police, to operate, on the date of the contract, the company officially included the private security activity in the Sao Paulo Board of Trade only on August 15, five days after the conclusion of an agreement with the PT campaign.
However, the BMP is not registered in the register of private security companies of the Federal Police. According to the regulation, every company that provides security services must be registered and inspected by the Federal Police.
In partial rendering of the accounts for Haddad’s campaign, his team reported that the company was initially hired for R $ 272,000. On 31 August a transfer of R $ 136 thousand was made.
The Board of Trade reports that the company belongs to nutritionist Leonardo Francisco Tercini Braccini, 28. On his Instagram account he claims to be a sports nutritionist. The photos show that he is a bodybuilder. The company headquarters are located in an apartment in Ipiranga (south area of Sao Paulo).
BMP was founded in 2012 by Leonardo’s sister, as an individual company that provides administrative support services. In 2016 Leonardo’s sister handed over the company to him.
In the 2018 elections, the company had already provided services for Lula’s campaign and, subsequently, Haddad’s campaign for the Presidency of the Republic. He received R $ 32 thousand. But at that time it was claimed that the service provided was the production of radio, television and video programs.
This year, the company underwent two changes registered with the Board of Trade. On 14 July it passed from Eireli (Individual liability company) to Ltda. (Joint stock company) and included the access control activity. Individual companies have an income limit of up to BRL 360,000. And a month later another change was made to include surveillance activity and private security.
Haddad and the owner of the company do not show up
Wanting to comment on hiring an irregular security company for his campaign, Haddad did not comment.
The report tried, via email and telephone, to contact Leonardo Braccini, owner of BMP Serviços, but was unable to find him.
