Comedian Sunarji aka Narii officially entered politics after joining the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).VFD). Not long ago Narji was rumored to be joining the Democratic Party.
Narji symbolically received a Membership Card (KTA) directly from PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu during the Soft Launching of the PKS Service House at the South Tangerang PKS DPD office, Sunday (19/12).
“Today, comedian Betawi Narji or artist whose full name is Sunarji, has officially declared that he has joined PKS,” said Head of PKS Tangsel Public Relations Yudi Aditya Yudi Aditya in his statement.
Yudi added that Narji’s joining shows PKS as a party that is open to all professions.
Narji was previously close to the Democratic Party and was predicted to join the party led by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
The Democratic Party’s Central Leadership Council (DPP) has even welcomed Narji’s plan to join the party bearing the star of mercy.
“Welcome genius comedian Narji. Hopefully he can do a lot for the people later,” wrote the Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the Democratic Party, Andi Arief on his Twitter account, Monday (15/11).
Narji himself did not deny this. However, he stated that his relationship with the Democrats was only a close relationship. He has never officially become a Democrat cadre.
“Not moving from Democrats. We haven’t joined yet,” Narji said when contacted.
