The ex-Chelsea boss is rumored to have melted down and will replace Nuno Espirito Santo in north London
Antonio Conte was reluctant to coach Tottenham Hotspur, but now Goal can confirm that the former Inter Milan manager will be the successor to Nuno Espirito Santo who was sacked in north London due to a string of poor results.
Earlier this season, it was widely reported that Tottenham were eyeing other names before appointing Nuno, including Gennaro Gattuso, Paulo Fonseca and Conte himself – who has experienced success in the Premier League while coaching Chelsea.
But the Italian coach initially rejected them, partly because of the unfavorable transfer budget, and now, as reported by Football Market, Spurs president Daniel Levy has agreed to Conte’s demands to melt his heart.

Tottenham must spend hundreds of millions of pounds to build a squad that matches Conte’s ambitions.
Levy, who is known to be stingy, does not agree with Conte’s vision. Moreover, the Spurs had just been fishing for a new stadium, so that the flow of funds to polish the player’s soldiers had to be seconded.
But Levy finally informed his director, Fabio Paratici, that he was ready to dig deep.
In addition, Conte is also reluctant to take over the managerial position of a club when the season is running because he wants to build and forge the squad according to his wishes from the start.
But having been out of work since parting ways with Inter Milan, Conte can’t wait to get back into coaching, and a breath of fresh air is blowing north London.
