The LAPSUS$ hacking group that broke into NVIDIA’s servers is threatening to release more sensitive data it stole into the public domain. Attackers promise to implement their threats if the company does not move its graphics drivers into the open source software category.

Cybercriminals are demanding that NVIDIA release their graphics drivers for Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems. If the company refuses, the hackers threaten to release chipset data, information about all of the company’s current GPUs, including the upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card, as well as data about future NVIDIA next-gen graphics cards, to the public. .
The hackers do not specify exactly what information they have, but at the same time they report that they have around 250 GB of information related to the manufacturer’s hardware at their disposal. In addition, the attackers said they appreciate NVIDIA’s position, but did not explain exactly what they were talking about. The hackers had time to think until Friday.
Previously, the LAPSUS$ hackers claimed to have published the source code of NVIDIA DLSS scaling technology, put up for sale information on how to bypass the LHR mining limiter, and also published other confidential GPU developer documents.
