DDoS attacks disrupted web pages and a transport mobile application in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
DDoS attacks on Monday, July 10, disrupted some web pages and a transport mobile application in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, where the NATO summit starts on July 11. This is reported by the Lithuanian media LRT.
“Now there are again DDoS attacks on our country, targeted DDoS attacks,” said the head of the National Cybersecurity Center, Liudas Ališauskas.
These attacks caused the m.Ticket system and the GoVilnius.lt website to be down.
The day before, the National Center received reports of two more cyber incidents, when, as a result of disruptions in the operation of a regional radio station and one of the city’s shopping centers, disinformation messages were launched on the air.
The center does not specify the nature of the widespread misinformation. The BNS news agency notes that it was directed against NATO and arms supplies to Ukraine.
Telia, a provider of mobile communications and Internet services, said that calls for attacks on various state institutions and companies in Lithuania are actively heard in the channels of the Telegram messenger.
The company’s specialists are monitoring a surge of DDoS attacks on the largest Internet network in Lithuania, as a result of which several companies and organizations run by municipalities were temporarily affected.
Recall that the Russian group of hackers NoName attacked several Swiss government websites.
