Haas turns his back on the NHL and returns to Switzerland

Biel did a pretty good job on the transfer market. The Zealand club has hired the Swiss international Gaëtan Haas for five years, who is returning to his training club.

Haas (29) turns his back on the NHL after two mixed seasons at the Edmonton Oilers. He scored seven goals and gave six assists in 95 matches and has never been able to become a clear holder.

The striker had already worn the Biel jersey from 2009 to 2017, before leaving for CP Bern. He won the 2019 league title with the Bears before trying his luck in the NHL. Haas was also part of the Swiss team vice-world champion in 2018.
