Haas F1 Protests Fines – Calls for Review of US Grand Prix Results

The actions of the stewards, who fined many drivers during the US Grand Prix, attracted general attention and aroused criticism.

Haas F1 didn’t score any points in Austin, but they don’t think they penalized everyone. The protest filed by the American team does not specify the names of the riders, but it is assumed that at least Perez, Albon and Stroll are involved.

In particular, we are talking about the sixth turn, which was controlled by the FIA, but Albon was not fined for these violations two weeks ago, without finding sufficient evidence.

The Haas team requested the right to review the decision, which under current rules can be done within two weeks after the publication of the race results.

To exercise this right, Haas F1 will need to provide new evidence in accordance with Article 14.1.1 of the International Sporting Code, at which point the stewards in charge that weekend will reconvene to review the situation again.

The chances of a revision of the results of the American weekend are minimal, but the FIA needs to do something about the uncertainty over the violations of the track boundaries. The best thing is to leave the riders alone.
