Erling Haaland is of interest to all the big clubs in Europe at the moment. Fabio Paratici reveals why the Norwegian forward has twice turned down offers from Juventus.
At only 21 years old, Haaland broke records with the German club. He has 12 goals in 15 caps for Norway, while this season he has found the net 11 times in just eight competitive appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
Paratici joined Tottenham this summer but had spent a decade managing Juventus’ transfer strategy. “Haaland was close to Juventus the first time when he was 16-17 and still playing in Norway“, Revealed Paratici during the Festival dello Sport in Trento. “IHe wanted more space to play regularly, so he chose RB Salzburg. Then he chose Borussia Dortmund for the Bundesliga and of course more opportunities to play. C‘it’s much easier at 20 to play for Dortmund than at a club like Juventus, especially since at the time we had Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain ”, explains Paratici.
