Norway’s Manchester City player Erling Haaland has revealed his expectation for the African team to perform best in the World Cup.
Haaland said, in statements to the South African channel “Super Sport”, that Senegal will provide the best performance among African teams in the World Cup.
Haaland added: “I think Senegal will do a good performance. They are an excellent team and have a lot of strong players, so I think Senegal will do everything they can to do the best they can.”
Senegal are in Group A, which includes Qatar, Ecuador and the Netherlands.
Haaland is the top scorer in the English Premier League with 17 goals in his first season in the Premier League.
