A dramatic round of 16 final between Manchester City and Liverpool in the League Cup took place on Thursday. Eventually City won 3–2.
The first goal was thus scored by the Norwegian striker Erling Braut Haaland, author of the 1-0 after being played forward by Kevin de Bruyne.
– A perfect target for an attacker. Haaland does so well, when he stays out of sight of defenders there, former England international Dion Dublin tells the BBC.
The competitive match was the 22-year-old’s first since the World Cup break (November 12).
