Ha Tae-kyung Criticizes Lim Jong-seok for Silence on Dissolution of Pan-National Coalition

People Power Party lawmaker Ha Tae-kyung, who is running as an ‘activist sniper’ in the April general election, criticized former Blue House Chief of Staff Lim Jong-seok for his silence regarding the dissolution of the southern headquarters of the Pan-National Coalition for Fatherland Unification (Pan-Dinryun).

On the 3rd, Rep. Ha posted on his Facebook page, ‘The people who called Pastor Moon Ik-hwan, who called for the disbandment of the Pan-Democrat Alliance, a NIS scam, and the people who voluntarily dissolved the organization at a single word from Kim Jong-un, are you Kim Jong-un’s scammers? – Lim Jong-seok, who knows the Pastor Moon situation well, posted a post titled, ‘Why are you keeping silent?’

He said, “As Kim Jong-un issued a policy to disband all unification promotion organizations, the South Korean headquarters of the Pan-Democrat Alliance is also said to be holding a dissolution general meeting on the 17th. “I would like to tell you this because the Pan-People’s Alliance organization was a decisive moment for me to break away from the pro-North Korea leftist group,” he began.

Rep. Ha said, “The first person within the progressive camp to advocate for the disbandment of the Pan-National Coalition was the late Pastor Moon Ik-hwan. “Pastor Moon led the formation of the Pan-National Alliance in 1991 and served as the chairman of the South Korean headquarters,” he said. “However, after two or three years of Pan-National Alliance activities, he felt great disappointment and limitations in running one organization with North Korea. This is because North Korea did not engage in democratic discussion or consultation and only issued instructions unilaterally. He explained, “We advocated for the disbandment of the Pan-Democrat Alliance because of concerns that if one organization with North Korea continues, the autonomy of the South Korean headquarters will be completely lost and the progressive camp will have no choice but to become pro-North Korea.”

Rep. Ha continued, “Then North Korea began accusing Pastor Moon of being a fraud of the National Intelligence Service (now the National Intelligence Service). At the same time, pro-North Korea forces in the South also pushed Reverend Moon into the National Security Agency’s propaganda. In this process, Pastor Moon was greatly shocked and eventually passed away in January 1994 without being able to disband the Pan-Dongmyeonryeon,” he said. “I, who served Pastor Moon by his side at the time, watched this scene vividly and became very disillusioned with North Korea and pro-North Korea forces.” I felt it. “It was a decisive moment for me to break away from the pro-North Korea left wing,” he said.

He said, “The Pan-National Alliance, which North Korea and pro-North Korea forces have cherished like a new stock complex, is now taking steps to disband at a word from Kim Jong-un. In the past, pro-North Korea leftists opposed the disbandment of the Pan-National Alliance and criticized Pastor Moon as a fraud of the National Security Agency, but then immediately dismantled the Pan-National Alliance at a single word from Kim Jong-un! “Now you have nothing to say even if you are accused of being Kim Jong-un’s fraud,” he criticized.

He added, “This fact is well known to those who participated in the unification movement with Pastor Moon Ik-hwan at the time, including former Chief of Staff Lim Jong-seok. Chief Lim Jong-seok, who said he would devote himself to the unification movement after finishing his term as Chief of Staff to the President, emphasized, “I hope that he will not remain silent about the dissolution of the Pan-National Coalition and confidently state his position.”
