Susan Sideropoulos mourns the loss of her beloved dad. The restaurateur died of cancer last week.
Berlin – Susan Sideropoulos (43) has to say goodbye to her father Pierro. The 77-year-old is said to have died last Thursday, February 8th, after battling cancer for a long time. Now the former “Good Times, Bad Times” actress made her difficult loss public on Instagram.

“Dear dad, once again you are traveling, but this time you are not coming back,” Susan Sideropoulos begins a post on Instagram to announce the death of her father. She also posted some black and white photos of herself and her dad Pierro, including from her wedding to husband Jakob Shtizberg in 2005.

The touching post continues: “How can I find the right words to do you justice, but I don’t have to. Every person who knew you or even had an encounter with you will not forget you. You were the epitome of a bon vivant, a gentleman, a bon vivant and a charmer. You loved everyone, from the cashier at the supermarket to your neighbors, you saw every new encounter as a gift.”
Her father was cosmopolitan and traveled to over 100 countries as a sailor, writes Susan. In addition, he always supported her dreams and was a rock in the surf not only for her, but also for her husband and her two sons: “From a young age, you believed in all my dreams, and especially in me. I think if I typed ‘proud of my daughter’ into a search engine, your photo should come up. More is not possible.”

Susan Sideropoulos also writes in the touching post: “You are now reunited with mom. It tears my heart apart, but your love lasts forever.” Her mother Edna († 46) died loudly bild.de 27 years ago, when Susan was just 16 years old. She also had cancer at the time. This loss only bonded father and daughter even more and they always stuck together, through all the ups and downs.
Pierro Sideropoulos was also something of a celebrity in his own right. His restaurant “La Casita”, a cult Italian restaurant in Hamburg, made him very well known there and earned him the status of a celebrity innkeeper. Susan also remembers this time fondly in her post: “You ran the craziest and coolest restaurant for over 30 years – they called you the mayor of Eppendorf.”
