In honor of the song A Reptér György Korda and Balázs Klári will receive a statue at Ferenc Liszt International Airport, and now there is another big news: the Magyar Posta will issue a stamp in their honor.
On stamps of György Korda and Klári Balázs
Magyar Posta also held a ceremony to honor the release of the Korda stamp, and here the 85-year-old dance singer gave an interview to the Glance for the page. It says that at that time he regularly visited the postman György Korda, but then over time the traffic decreased…
“At the beginning of my career, I received a lot of love letters, but the interesting thing is that after I met Klárika, there were fewer and fewer messages. The ladies must have realized that besides Klárika, no one can really kick the ball”
says György Korda.

And how did Klári Balázs see the other side of everything? The singer replied:
“The women were fans of Gyuri, and at first they really hated me because I was his wife. A lot of people questioned our relationship and I was accused of being with him purely out of interest. Then, of course, they accepted me over time. Of course, I received love letters myself, but I was always able to handle it properly, because you separate your profession from your private life.”
By the way, the Kordás are not the first: last year, the Magyar Posta issued a stamp about Éva Csepregi. In 2023, 5,000 stamps with Éva Csepregi’s face were put into circulation. No Hungarian pop singer has ever received such an honor.
The occasion was twofold: Éva Csepregi’s 70th birthday, but also the fact that Neoton Família celebrated its 50th anniversary. Magyar Posta presented the singer with a framed set of the new stamps, and her son, Dávid Heatlie, as well as another legendary figure of Neoton Família, Ádám Végvári, took part in the small ceremony.
The Grand Concert is coming
György Korda and Klári Balázs recently returned home from Spain. They told about the trip to TV2, and the interview was broadcast by the program Tények Plusz. They rested in a resort known for its salt lakes, where the salty air is extremely good for the lungs and throat: this is how the couple prepared for their upcoming concert: the concert will take place this weekend, May 11.
“Sometimes here in Hungary I woke up in the morning and my voice was a little hoarse. I got up here and at that moment I was already crowing”
György Korda raves about the beneficial effect of the air in Spain. The holiday in Spain also included a big milestone: the couple took their first selfie ever! You can watch the report about it below, which also mentions the airport statue.
