The CTS has given the green light to the rules proposed by the Ministry of Sport and has established that the first to restart will be individual sports, followed by team sports and, subsequently, by contact sports. Here are rules and conditions

The discussion continues on the ways in which gyms, swimming pools and, more generally, sports facilities will be able to reopen in the coming weeks. The Scientific Technical Committee has given the green light to the rules proposed by the Ministry of Sport and has established that the first to restart will be individual sports, followed by team sports and, subsequently, by contact sports. The date, at the moment, remains that of the expiry of the Prime Minister’s decree, signed by the former premier Conte on January 16th and valid until March 5th.

But it will be the task of the prime minister in charge Mario Draghi to sign a new provision that provides for the reopening with the rules prescribed by the ministry and CTS which, in the document produced yesterday, raised concern for potential “aggregations between people within sports facilities, especially in closed and confined environments “, but at the same time the need to guarantee” the return to the enjoyment of physical activities, especially in subjects in developmental age and in individuals with chronic diseases and in the elderly, in which the psycho-physical well-being acquires a fundamental dimension on the state of health “.

COLORS AND REOPENINGS

As per agreement between the ministry and the CTS, the facilities will remain closed in the red zone, while in the orange zone, “in addition to the activities allowed in the ‘red zone’ areas (individual outdoor sports, ed), they are allowed in gyms, swimming pools and tensile structures basic individual sports activities, including aquatic ones, and non-team or contact amateur sports activities; In addition, training for contact sports and team sports are allowed only if carried out individually, in compliance with the distance and the prohibition of gathering. Allow sports and dance activities aimed at school-age children, in line with the opening of schools “. In the regions in the yellow zone, currently the predominant area of the country, “training for amateur and grassroots contact and team sports” will also be allowed.

DISTANCES

The protocol approved by the Technical-Scientific Committee requires that an interpersonal distance “adequate to the intensity of physical activity and in any case not less than 2 meters” is always maintained. For the pools it was established that each person should have 10 square meters to swim. In the case of sporting events that include an award ceremony, however, the CTS asks that only the strictly necessary people be involved (no guests, authorities, etc.) and that “the prizes must be sanitized, placed on a platform and taken directly from the athletes “.

THE RULES

The sanitization of tools and materials “after each use by the user with an appropriate sanitizing product”, the prohibition of using showers and the obligation for operators to wear the mask correctly, as well as a series of individual prescriptions such as storing clothing used for physical activity in personal bags, not leaving them in shared places and washing them separately, drinking from disposable or personalized glasses or bottles, throwing paper towels in special containers, using your own mats (when possible) or sanitizing them first and after use (if shared). Also important is the issue of the disinfectant gel to be made available in a widespread manner for the users of the system and “calibrated not only according to the surface but also according to the number of potential users who could use it”.
