In the competition for the federal cup of the national teams of the German Gymnastics Federation in Mülheim an der Ruhr, eleven out of 20 association teams met to determine their national winner in the freestyle program for performance class 1. The gymnasts of the Palatinate Gymnastics Federation competed with two women from Hassloch. Noelle Graner and Anouk Wessa (both TV Dürkheim), Lotta Dörr (TV Schwegenheim), Ida Vos and Emma Schönig (both TSG Haßloch) competed together for the Palatinate Gymnastics Federation in the age group twelve to 15, informs the Hassloch coaching team Gisela and Gerhard Liedy accompanying the crew. The gymnasts won on the uneven bars with 46.35 points. Nolle Graner got the highest rating of the day with 12.8 points. The Haßlocherin Emma Schönig showed for the first time the newly learned high flyer from the lower to the upper bar and received 10.8 points from the judges for her exercise.
There were “unfortunately too many relegations” on the balance beam, complained Gisela Liedy. Here, too, Graner from Bad Dürkheim, who was the only one who didn’t fall, was the strongest of the team, followed by Ida Vos, who had to leave the beam once. According to Gisela Liedy, the Palatinate women showed their strength again on the ground and took fourth place with 51.9 points. Anouk Wessa showed the best exercise in the team with 13.7 points. Ida Vos also did well on the floor – she was rewarded with 12.95 points.
Emma Schönig, the youngest participant in the entire competition, achieved her highest score on vault. She received 11.6 points for her half-twist handstand rollover in the first and second phases of flight. At the end of the competition, the women from the Palatinate had collected 188.70 points and took eighth place among eleven teams.
