The principle is that you have to win 2 of the 3 rounds.

You have 3 rows of close combat, ranged and siege. The points are added together the highest wins.

there are special cards that affect a row. Like for example a winter weather card, all close combat cards are set to 1. This is also available in fog for ranged and rain for siege.

If you zoom in on the maps you will see a description. These are becoming more and more extensive.

You can also play your Hero card. Keep pressing left until you jump from hand to your Hero card. Zoom in now to see what the card does.

It’s okay to lose (you’re going to happen regularly anyway) but if you beat another Gwent player for the first time you get a card that you use to expand your deck. You can also buy tickets from some sellers. Buy all the cards early in the game.

It’s getting more fun to challenge other Gwent players and is a fresh short distraction from the rest of the game.

The Witcher 2 has a dice game, but then Gwent is really more fun and tactical.
