It is reported that the Sun is 4.6 billion years old and will likely die in another 10 billion years. In the process, the Sun will change.
For example, in 5 billion years it will turn into a red giant with a core expanding to Mars. This makes the Earth swallowed, with a record of human life still exists.
Because there is one prediction that life on Earth will only have 1 billion years left. Unless you can find a way out of the problem of the Sun’s brightness increasing at a rate of 10% per billion years.
Another prediction came from international researchers in 2018. They predict the sun to be a planetary nebula, which is a glowing bubble of gas and dust.
“When a star dies it ejects gas and dust known as a shroud into space. The shroud can be up to half the mass of the star. This will reveal a stellar core that at this point is still running, runs out of fuel and dies,” said the paper’s authors. Ziljstar explains that the Sun’s hot core will make the shroud glow outward for 10,000 years. That’s when the Nebula will be visible.
Meanwhile, Futurism predicts the state of the Earth when the Sun dies. Humans are said to have realized that the Sun was no longer there 8.5 minutes after the incident and that was when it was already dark.
Earth will travel between stars at 18 miles per second. Celestial bodies that reflect sunlight such as the Moon and other planets also turn dark.
Earth’s temperature will also drop drastically, but it will take a long time to turn it into a solid frozen. Temperatures drop below 0 degrees in the first week and in the first year to minus 100 degrees.
The next few million years the temperature will be within minus 240 degrees with the Earth’s heat still at work. The remaining humans will take advantage and move near there.
In addition, photosynthetic activity will no longer exist and the plant will be destroyed. Most species will survive for a while then end up becoming extinct.
