MIAMI – Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner advanced to the singles quarterfinals at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Miami. In the round of 16, the tenth player of the spider managed the sixth seeded Russian Andrej Rubľov in two sets 6:2 and 6:4.
In the next battle of players from the Top 10 spider, the ninth Taylor Fritz from the USA won over the seventh Norwegian Holger Run 6:3, 6:4. In the quarter-finals, Fritz will meet world number one Carls Alcaraz from Spain, who knocked out home Tommy Paul twice 6-4.
The next quarter-final pair consists of Karen Chačanov and Francisco Cerundolo. The Russian defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece 7:6, 6:4, and the Argentine defeated the Italian Lorenzo Sonega 3:6, 6:3, 6:2.
