Guy Méthalie sings “Little Papa Noël coronavirus”

Singer Guy Méthalie presents a 2020 parody of “Little papa Noël”, inspired by the coronavirus epidemic.

The Covid-19 is also a source of inspiration for the traditional singer Guy Méthalie. He composed in a few minutes an ironic version of “Little papa Noël” with “coronavirus sauce”.

“Little papa Noël” which beats all sales records, dates from the end of the Second World War. The populations needed to find the joy of life and peace. Henri Martinet composed this aria in 1946 to a text by Raymond Vincy.

This rhyme is today taken up by Guy Méthalie, songwriter from Martinique, who loves to be inspired by current events. His works on current events are famous (pale blue, dark blue, Jojo razouè, king kong …). He knows how to adapt lyrics to a familiar tune.

See how he takes inspiration from the coronavirus.

For Guy Méthalie (one of the last custodians of the tradition), is the mouth of the speechless while indicating that it is sometimes necessary to dare to laugh at these distressing situations.
