The singer started the annual concert series in 2006. “Every year when I release a new edition of Big announced, was a pinch-on-my-arm moment for me,” says 51-year-old Meeuwis.
“Again and again that blissful feeling that I could do it again. I have not taken it for granted in any edition. I have always agreed with myself that I should never find it normal and that I want to stop at the peak.”
That peak is difficult to measure, says Meeuwis. For his feeling, it is not yet in sight. “But that agreement with myself has stood. Sometimes you have to have the balls to make a decision that you cannot rationally explain. I do know that I will personally ensure that 2024 is not Great, but Greatest. “
