Gustavo Petro asked for millionaire financial compensation from former president Andrés Pastrana • La Nación


President Petro also asked Andrés Pastrana to retract the comments made on X (formerly Twitter). The process against the former president for slander and slander continues.

President Petro requested economic compensation of 100 minimum wages that would be allocated to a non-profit foundation.

At the end of the conciliation meeting between Gustavo Petro and Andrés Pastrana it was learned that there was no agreement and therefore the process against the former president for slander and slander continues.

According to the minutes of the proceedings, President Petro asked Andrés Pastrana to retract the comments made in X in which he linked the current Government to drug trafficking.

“We propose that Mr. Andrés Pastrana Arango formally commit to refraining from using social networks and other media to defame or issue false statements that link me to drug trafficking,” the document says.

He also requested symbolic economic compensation of 100 minimum salaries, equivalent to nearly 130 million, for moral damages. This would be donated to a non-profit foundation, selected by common agreement and that works for the victims of the conflict and the promotion of peace and social justice in Colombia.
