During the absence of the head of Midagri, the Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Julio Demartini, will temporarily assume his duties.

Gustavo Adrianzén criticizes the transportation strike on October 10
Gustavo Adrianzén expressed his rejection of the announcement of the transportation strike scheduled for October 10. In statements to the press, the Premier argued that this measure could put public safety at risk. “I cannot agree that a national strike be called at a time like this. What began as a demand now seeks to get transporters to join other unions. Citizen security is everyone’s responsibility,” he added.
Adrianzén also highlighted that most of the districts of Lima, especially those in the north, are in a state of emergency. Therefore, both the Peruvian National Police (PNP) and the Army that are patrolling the streets of these areas could take action against those who protest in these areas.
Finally, the head of the PCM called on transporterswith whom he has expressed solidarity: “I invite you to sit down again and talk and together look for solutions that benefit everyone,” he said.
