Gustav Witzøe (68) started with one farming license from a bankruptcy estate and built up one of the world’s largest salmon companies. Salmar, which the Witzøe family still owns most of, is currently worth NOK 76.5 billion on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In a statement on Tuesday, Salmar announces that Witzøe is resigning as CEO. Linda Litlekalsøy Aase (55), who comes from the position as Executive Vice President and is responsible for the Electrification, maintenance and modifications business area at Aker Solutions, moves in.
She has been a board member in Salmar since June 2020.
– I am humble and have enormous respect for the fantastic job Gustav Witzøe and his 1800 skilled employees do, and I look forward to leading the Salmar team further, says Aase in a message.
