Gus Yahya confirmed that the management’s statement about the PKB was a PBNU decision

Chairman of the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya provides all statements issued by the management of his institution regarding the National Awakening Party (PKB) is an organizational decision. He said that the statement that was published was not the position of an individual.

“Everything that is done, each PBNU leader said, is the idea of ​​the group, not the idea of ​​individuals. If there are statements from the Secretary General, the Deputy Secretary General, or my own statements, these are all statements by the organization, not individuals,” said Gus Yahya in a statement received as reported by Antara, Saturday (17/8/2024).

Gus Yahya said that the official position of the group that all PBNU workers put forward was taken through organizational means, namely the full management meeting. He said the statement made by PBNU workers was not about a conflict between him and PKB president Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.

“We don’t talk unless we have a meeting first. This is not about Yahya Staquf fighting with Muhaimin (PKB President Muhaimin Iskandar). It is not about Saifullah Yusuf fighting with his cousin (Muhaimin). the group,” he said.

Gus Yahya revealed that so far there have been no personal problems within the management of PBNU and PKB. Because there are many administrators of political parties in the institution itself, such as PKB, Gerindra, Golkar, PDI Perjuangan, as well as several members of other political parties.

However, he admitted that there are currently parties that are trying to reduce the relationship between PBNU and PKB to a personal matter. According to him, they launched attacks through buzzwords on social media by creating statements as if the PBNU and PKB problems were personal problems.

“What is the idea of ​​PBNU like? We are not playing buzzer, we are playing real consolidation,” he explained.
