Gus Nur echoes the call to prayer with barking of dogs

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PDI-P politician Kapitra Ampera criticized the way Sugi Nur Raharja alias Gus Nur criticized the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.

Kapitra assessed that the way Gus Nur criticized the Minister of Religion Yaqut by chanting the call to prayer and then imitating the barking of a dog actually insulted religion.

“It insults religion, insults the call to prayer. It is no longer criticizing the Minister of Religion, but he is making fun of the call to prayer,” said Kapitra Ampera on Sunday (27/2).

According to Kapitra, Gus Nur should have delivered criticism in the right way.

“He (Gus Nur, ed) the call to prayer continues to imitate the barking of dogs, it is a blasphemy against that religion. That’s not allowed,” said the former lawyer for Habib Rizieq Shihab.

Megawati’s subordinate in PDIP said that if a leader made a mistake, it was natural to be criticized.

However, Kapitra said, it must be done the right way.

“The way of correcting like Gus Nur is insulting Islam itself,” he said.

Previously, Gus Nur uploaded a video entitled Minister of Religion: Adhan is Like Dog Gonggong – This is the Real Form of God’s Makar through his Gus Nur 13 Official account on YouTube on February 25, 2022.

In the video, Gus Nur said that Minister of Religion Yaqut gave an example of the call to prayer, which was followed by a sound similar to a dog barking.
