Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, December 19-Guo Shengkun, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Political and Legal Committee, chaired a plenary meeting of the Central Political and Legal Committee on the 19th to study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the Central Economic Work Conference. Guo Shengkun emphasized that it is necessary to conscientiously unify thoughts and actions into the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, be good at using political eyes to observe and analyze economic and social issues, closely follow the goals and tasks set by the Central Economic Work Conference, actively contribute to the rule of law, wisdom, and rule of law, and boost “Five” started well, and celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party with excellent results.
Guo Shengkun requested that the combination of law enforcement and judicial work should be found, to create a fair and just legal business environment, and to provide legal protection for building a new development pattern and promoting high-quality development. We must conscientiously implement the overall national security concept, put the maintenance of political security in the first place, promote the construction of a higher level of safe China, actively innovate social governance, in-depth investigation and resolution of contradictions and disputes, normalize the eradication of criminals, and strive to prevent and resolve risks. The overall social situation remains stable.
The meeting reviewed the national political and legal organs’ special investigation and rectification work plan for cases of commutation, parole, and temporary execution outside prison for violations of regulations and laws, and a special rectification plan for judicial personnel and lawyers to conduct improper contacts. Guo Shengkun emphasized that it is necessary to integrate the education and rectification of the national political and legal team, rectify prominent problems in accordance with the law and discipline, and further enhance the credibility of law enforcement and justice and establish a good image of the political and legal team.
