TRIBUNJOGJA.COM, GUNUNGKIDUL – The rainy season is a time that is prone to spreading diseases from mosquitoes.
Besides Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), another disease that can arise is Chikungunya.
Head of Health Service (Dinkes) Gunungkidul Dewi Irawaty revealed the number of cases Chikungunya in this region is relatively low.
“The trend of the case itself in Gunungkidul has yet to stand out,” said Dewi.

It says case Chikungunya of Gunungkidul it is even low compared to other districts / cities in DIY.
Even the number of cases is said to be far below DBD, which until November 2020, there were 954 cases recorded.
Even so, Dewi said it was a case Chikungunya it could appear during this rainy season.
Moreover, the source of transmission also comes from mosquitoes.
“There is still prevention and anticipation that we are doing,” he said.
As for the key to prevention Chikungunya is Nest Eradication Mosquito (PSN) with 3M Plus.
