Miss Snusk is known for her explicit song lyrics and with the slightly more innocent song “Young and free” she qualified. Someone who also competes in the qualifier is Gunilla Persson.
Since both competed in the Melodifestivalen, they have been successful on Spotify and both “Young and free” and “I won’t shake (La la Gunilla)” have been at the top. At the time of writing, Fröken Snusk’s song is in first place and Hollywoodfruns is in ninth place.
The artists have met once – at the first press meeting when the artists were revealed.
– It was wonderful, I gave her a rose. We talked a bit, she thought I had nice lashes and nice nails and we got some connection, at least from my side, I don’t know what she’s saying, says Miss Snusk to Expressen and laughs.
– I like her very much, a very nice, genuine person.
But from Gunilla Persson, who is known to be a bit ostentatious, it doesn’t quite sound the same – she refuses to listen to Miss Snusk’s music.
– No, I will never do that. Never in my life. Never. I have heard so much about her. What was this title called?
Is “Ride me as a Hollywood wife” about Gunilla?
Gunilla Persson was then referring to the song “Tjackballe”.
– What is that? It’s these kinds of titles that my daughter Erika and I don’t even understand what they are. But it must be something ugly.
After it became known that both Gunilla Persson and Miss Snusk would compete in Melodifestivalen, the latter released the song “Ride me like a Hollywood wife”.
Now Miss Snusk says that the song is not about Gunilla Persson.
– No, actually Hollywood wives in general. As I say in the song, I want to be a Hollywood wife and I think Gunilla is really cool. It’s not based on her, but I also want to be a Hollywood wife, says Miss Snusk and laughs.
Gunilla Persson does not want to listen to the song.
– I will not listen to her at all. I’ll just listen to the song she’s competing with. Not any other misery that she stands for. I would never allow that if it were my daughter. You can’t keep up with that kind of shit. You see, kids who have this kind of music and these lyrics and artists as role models. What will become of them?
When Expressen’s Melodifestivalen reporter Ellinor Svensson reads Gunilla Persson’s words to Fröken Snusk, she drops her jaw.
