During the intermission in Växjö, the camera swept over the green room when the votes were counted. But one artist was missing – Gunilla Persson. Confusion ensued, but all of a sudden she reappeared. Or?
It turned out that it was Christine Meltzer, one of the evening’s guest presenters, who dressed up as Gunilla Persson.
She joked about Gunilla’s interest in dating and asked presenter Carina Berg if Björn Gustafsson was single and liked “older women”. Meltzer made it to the green room where the real Gunilla Persson returned and the two hugged.
The tribute to Meltzer
After the genre rep on Friday, the Hollywood wife was satisfied with the imitation from Meltzer.
– I knew, it wasn’t a surprise. It’s funny because Meltzer does a great job. Her caricatures of me have been very funny, then you are great at what you do if you have a double, Gunilla told Expressen.
When Expressen spoke to Carina Berg before the competition, she confirmed that Gunilla Persson was okay with Christine Meltzer’s impersonation of her.
– So Gunilla has been involved in planning this. Gunilla is in on this, said the presenter.
It is not the first time that Christine Meltzer imitates Gunilla Persson. Meltzer did his interpretation of the Hollywood wife back in 2012 in the program “Partaj” on Kanal 5.
