Gulf Media ‘Onotsava’ will start tomorrow at the Sharjah Sapphire Market. Registration for the event will start on Saturday at 1pm.
The main competition on the first day is the pairs competition to find matching pairs. The winners of this competition will qualify for the final on Sunday. The preliminary phase of the stew contest will also take place on the first day. This competition will provide a platform to see and taste the different flavors of stews such as Semiya Payasam, Fruit stew with dates, Chavvari stew, Carrot stew, Fruit and nut stew, Fruit and milk stew, Sugar-free stew, ghee, Wheat Stew, Milk Stew.
The winners of this can also compete in the final on Sunday. Another attraction is the children’s drawing competition. About 500 children will participate in this competition. Tug-of-war in which eight of the UAE’s strongest teams compete, family kitchen where the culinary skills of family members are highlighted, and a flower field competition is also held as part of the Onotsavam.
