The exhibitors from the Gulf countries, during their participation in the 30th edition of the exhibition, which kicked off today at the Dubai World Trade Center, made it clear in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the international exhibition, which the UAE hosts every year, is an important opportunity to highlight new projects, the potential of these sustainable tourism countries, and investment opportunities in the sector. .

His Excellency Haitham bin Muhammad Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Omani Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, stressed that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in this global event aims to highlight the most important future tourism projects and developments in the tourism sector and attract investors and those interested in this sector, which include tourist complexes, the Omani Botanical Garden, Hotel projects, adventure tourism projects and historical sites.

Al-Ghassani pointed out that the participation comes at an important time, as it prepares for the summer tourist season and the cold weather, or the so-called “autumn of Salalah”. It has a mild climate that encourages domestic tourism and contributes to attracting tourists from different countries of the world, making it an ideal place to visit for many tourists and target groups in the regional and international markets, in addition to promoting new attractions such as the Oman Museum Through Time and the Omani Plants and Trees Garden.

In addition, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participates in a large number of pavilions under its umbrella in order to highlight the Kingdom’s capabilities through a number of its cities, such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Ula and Al-Diriyah, in addition to NEOM.

Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of Diriyah Company, expressed his happiness at participating in the Arabian Travel Market this year and reviewing what has been built and accomplished in Diriyah, pointing to work to highlight Diriyah’s position as a cultural and tourist destination within the framework of the partnerships that were announced with leading international brands in the world of hospitality.

Trinkle pointed out that Qatar started the current year with a strong and exceptional performance and recorded a record performance during the first quarter, as it witnessed a significant increase in the number of visitors who flocked to it during the national celebrations that took place throughout the GCC countries, stressing the continuation of work on developing tourism facilities. main in Qatar.

While Jaafar Mahdi, head of the Tourism Authority of the Republic of Iraq, confirmed his country’s keenness to participate in the Arab Travel Market because of its importance, as it is considered the most prominent exhibition in the world in this sector, with the participation of a number of Iraqi tourism companies, including 8 companies representing the private sector, with the aim of forming partnerships with International and Arab companies in order to attract tourists to Iraq.

Mahdi pointed out that citizens of more than 138 countries can enter his country without a visa, and that the Iraqi government has worked to overcome any obstacles related to the tourism and travel sector and to provide investment incentives in order to attract tourists to visit the most prominent archaeological sites.

For her part, Noura Al-Quoud, Head of Media and Public Relations at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, said that the Arabian Travel Market is one of the most important global exhibitions that allows countries to highlight their sustainable tourism potential, and an opportunity to promote Bahrain’s tourist attractions, adding that her country’s pavilion includes 25 tourism companies and hotels representing the Kingdom. the two seas .
