Gujarat Assembly Elections Second Round Polls 60% – Gujarat Elections

AHMEDABAD ∙ Over 60% of polls in second round of Gujarat assembly elections, according to preliminary data. Voting took place yesterday in 93 constituencies in north-central Gujarat. Electoral Commission sources said there could be a slight difference in the percentage when the final figures arrive.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Prime Minister Bhupendra Patel and CPC Chairman Jagdish Thakur voted yesterday. Modi cast his vote in Ahmedabad’s Nishan Nagar. The prime minister’s vote went to his brother Somabhai Modi. Congress said Modi’s procession to vote was a violation of electoral rules.
