Guitarist Gints Smukais has released a new arrangement for the folk song “Pūt, vējiņi”, which is the second prelude to the musician’s second studio album “Atkusnis”, the opening concert of which Herb.

As one of the guitarist Gints Smuka’s favorite melodies got a new sound, the musician says: “I came to the arrangement of the song by accident. It was late at night and there was no inspiration to create something new, but my fingers itched to play the guitar strings.

So I was inspired to start playing the “Blow, winds” melody in a circle. Sometimes a restless mind can be placed in peace with a simple and cyclical melody.

And the ideas flashed at the end of each melody cycle. The form of the arrangement was supplemented and polished thanks to the advice of musician and producer Kaspars Niklasons. Thank him for that. ”

Guitarist Gints Smukais will present the sound of his second solo album “Thaw” (“Thaw”) on July 31, at sunset, on the stage floating in Lake Raiskums.

It will be possible to watch the concert not only from the land, settling in the territory of the camping “Apaļkalns”, on the lawn of the lake on the chairs or blankets we take with us – fans of a more active lifestyle will have the opportunity to listen to the concert from their boat or SUP board. Boats and boards will also be available for rent.
