Guinness world record for the largest display for a video game goes to Xbox and Bungie

Xbox and Bungie Break the Guinness World Record for Largest Projected Video Game Display.

In collaboration with Bungie and snowboarder and “dreamer” Grant Giller, Microsoft created an epic Destiny 2 gaming experience that was inspired by “Europe”.

The game Destiny 2 was projected onto a 180 ft (approx. 55 m) x 105 ft (approx. 32 meters) screen. Giller finished the last run of the day on his custom-made Destiny 2 x Xbox snowboard, exploring the new destination Europe and using the new stasis sub-class in Destiny 2 on Xbox Series X. The gaming session took place at over 11,000 feet (3,353 m) altitude on the summit of beautiful Copper Mountain in Colorado, making this one of the highest projects ever.

Despite the extreme cold, all of the equipment needed to set this world record held out during the filming. Isolated snowstorms did not cause any system failures.

The mountain also provided a fiber optic internet connection that was strong enough for the Xbox Series X and allowed perfect gaming without visual or playful delays.
