Mexican international goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa leaves Standard after two seasons on the banks of the Meuse.
The 34-year-old has been transferred to CF America. “Welcome home” wrote on its website the Mexican club where he played between 2003 and 2011 before joining Europe. He played in Ajaccio (2011-14), Malaga (2014-16) and Granada (2016-17) before arriving at Standard in July 2017. He signed a 4-year contract with the Mexico club.
Last season Ochoa defended the goal for Standard 48 times and managed to save his net in 13 games. During the first season with the Rouches, the Mexican international (107 caps) played 38 games (9 clean sheets).
‘Memo’ Ochoa, who has played in the last four World Cups with Mexico, already has 281 appearances with America. He won the fencing champion title in 2005, the 2005 champion of champions title and the CONCACAF title in 2006.
