Guillaume Desoutou Reflects on RB’s Success at 2024 F1 Round 6 Miami Grand Prix

Guillaume Desoutou, head of vehicle performance at Visa Cash Up RB, looked back on Spirinto/qualifying for the 2024 F1 Round 6 Miami Grand Prix. In the sprint, Daniel Ricciardo took 4th place and Hiroki Tsunoda took 8th place, getting a double award for RB. In qualifying, Yuki Tsunoda advanced to Q3 for the fourth time this season, securing 10th place on the grid. Ricciardo was 18th fastest, but due to a penalty he will start last.

“It was a roller coaster today, but overall it was a very good result for the team as we gained six points in the Constructors’ Championship and increased the gap on our direct rivals.” The morning sprint race was excellent. Daniel had a good start and was able to gain position in Turn 1. He then passed Perez, but was able to Sainz was held back throughout the race.
