Guillaume Anex Returns to LHC Academy as U16 Elite Head Coach
The LHC Academy has announced the appointment of Guillaume Anex as the new head coach of the U16 Elite team for the 2025-26 season. Anex, a 24-year-old native of Gryon, is no stranger to the Lausanne hockey scene, having been a standout player in the club’s junior movement from 2015 to 2020.
Anex’s journey wiht Lausanne began as a young player, where he quickly made a name for himself. In 2018, he captained the U20 elite team to the playoffs final, showcasing his leadership skills on the ice. His dedication paid off in 2019 when he signed his first professional contract with the Lausanne Hockey Club (LHC), a two-year deal that marked a significant milestone in his career.
However, injuries in 2022 forced Anex to retire from professional play. Undeterred, he transitioned seamlessly into coaching, quickly rising thru the ranks. He began as a U17 coach and U20 assistant coach at HC valais-Chablais Futur during the 2022-23 season. by 2023, he had taken over as head of the junior movement at the Valais club, a role he held until the end of 2024.As December 2024, anex has also been serving as head coach of HCV Martigny, the current leaders of the my Hockey League championship (third division).
