The musician Guido Gärtner will be the new director of the Bremen Philharmonic from March 2024. “It’s a big task and one that I approach with humility,” said the 45-year-old at the presentation on Wednesday. “The Bremen Philharmonic is an orchestra with great tradition and perspective.” Gärtner is currently working at the Bavarian State Opera.
