How is the visit to Red Hook?
- Your guide will meet you at the southern tip of Manhattan to take a ferry together to Red Hook. From the top deck of the boat, you can greet the Statue of Liberty in the distance and gaze out at the Brooklyn Bridge and Governors Island, before disembarking on the shores of Brooklyn.
- Welcome to Red Hook! Your guide will introduce you to the highlights of the neighborhood’s history, with anecdotes of dockers and tales of mafia, including the must-see Al Capone. A wonderful journey through time ! You’ll also learn how Hurricane Sandy ravaged Red Hook in 2012 and how the neighborhood quickly recovered. Your guide will take you to a whiskey distillery, coffee roasting factory, and artist studios. Not to mention the best ice cream parlor in New York!
- The visit lasts 3 hours. A break is planned halfway on a terrace by the sea. The return to Manhattan can be done by boat or taxi. The opportunity to discover the popular Red Hook.
